A Guide to Sane Thinking
- If the only information you have came to you through social media and what you've heard, you have information but no knowledge. Do not act on information alone.
- You may not be special. And, if you are, it may not be helpful.
- America may not be the most exceptional country in the whole world.
- You will probably never be president.
- You may not live better than your parents.
- You probably won’t win the lottery.
- Your children may not deserve to always get A's and perfect evaluations.
- You may not deserve a break today.
- You are not entitled to be happy. You can aspire to happiness.
- You are not entitled to be loved. You can behave in a loving way.
- You may not be appreciated for who you are or even what you do.
- If your kids act out, you have a parental obligation to intervene.
- If you are texting while driving and you have an accident, denying that you were texting is unethical and dishonest.
- If you did not get the promotion you thought you deserved, it may be because you weren't the best candidate.
- If your dog is out of control, and you’ve had it for more than a year, you probably haven't done what is required to have a well-adjusted, well-trained pet.
- If you lose all your money by gambling, it is not because of bad luck, it’s because of your behavior.
